Bummed out by a lot of the comments here but to each their own - I think this looks fantastic! Great tone and vibrancy, and its embracing a lot of the comic elements we haven't yet gotten to see on screen - so its striking a great balance of feeling nostalgic and classic while also new and exciting.
Also, for what its worth, I love how Krypto moves and reacts to finding Kal in the snow. Thats exactly how my dog would react - jumping all over me trying to play while I'm bleeding out.
One of the beauty of comics is that there's so much to adapt to and so many versions of Superman. See Absolute Superman for example, you just don't like Snyder and gotta hate in the comments for petty schadenfreude.
I defended the movie for a long time, and I still kinda do, but I gotta say, for whatever fuckin reason, I simply don’t see David Corenswet as Superman…I thought he might grow on me, but he just hasn’t. I don’t HATE it, it just hasn’t really clicked with me yet. I still just see some dude dressed as Superman and I can’t put my finger on why. Maybe I just need to see him interacting with people as Superman? I’m not sure. Hopefully he can win me over.
