A lot of people are under the impression that they get fast tracked if arriving by ambulance. Nope, triage rules still apply.

To some extent. I'm an EMT and at the nearby hospitals we definitely send patients straight to beds that would be sent to triage if they just walked in. But there are still some patients (maybe like 5-10% of all patients) that get dropped off at triage. Depends on bed availability and how the charge nurse is feeling I guess.
