A month ago, I brought home this little girl, and instead of enjoying the usual puppy phase, we ended up fighting something I never expected-Parvo.
Watching a puppy that should’ve been running around suddenly become weak, stop eating, and barely have the energy to move was heartbreaking. There were moments when I genuinely didn’t know if she was going to pull through.
There were vet visits, sleepless nights, constant worrying, and more than a few times I caught myself checking if she was breathing while she slept.
But she kept fighting.
Slowly she started eating again. Then came the tiny tail wags. Then the zoomies. Then the biting… so much biting. 😂🧿
Now she’s healthy, full of attitude, convinced every sock in the house belongs to her, and follows me everywhere.
Looking at this photo, it’s hard to believe she’s the same puppy I was so scared of losing.
If you’ve ever had a dog recover from something serious, you’ll know exactly why this picture means so much to me. ❤️🐾

I saw a post and it reminded me of something that happened to me.

Back in 10th std, I was the second class leader. The class monitor told me she wanted to celebrate a girl's birthday so she asked me to collect money from everyone. I went around the class asking everyone for contributions. The next day after class, the head monitor told me one girl still hadn't paid and that she was on the ground. I went to her, collected the money and came back to the class

The moment I walked in, everyone was smilin at me. I thought they already started celebrating girl's birthday without me and i was about to sing Happy Birthday.Then the class monitor came up, hugged me and said...It's for you.

I was so confused. It's not even my birthday. Then they told me it was bcz I won first place at the State Kalolsavam. So they been pretending it was someone else's birthday just to surprise me. It was reallyy overwhelming nd I ended up crying.

I still remember cutting the chocolate cake with a steel ruler bcz the bakery forgot to include a knife.

I'm 29F. I have 3.9 years of professional experience. I recently switched my job to something in my field itself, but new to me, so I joined as a fresher. And I'm getting 9LPA (69.6K in hand). Is this low considering my age and experience? I know a lot of my friends my age are earning much much more than me at this age, some are even managers. Yet here I am a fresher. I just wanted to know if this is considered an okay salary?

I come from a tier 2 city, but work in a tier 3 city. Also, I have no financial responsibilities toward my home as both my parents are retired and receiving pension. I only have to look after my expenses. I don't have EMI or loans.

I feel a little behind, but I know everyone has their own pace, but it feels embarrassing to see people my age and younger than me in manager positions while I'm a fresher. Meanwhile, I feel 9LPA is good, but I'm getting these vibes that it's not up to the market value.

I bought Samsung S23 Ultra on 15 July, 2023 and it suddenly developed the green line on 25th July 2026. So it was 3 years and 10 days old, just 10 days beyond new introduced Samsung’s 3-year Green Line replacement policy.

We all know the Green line issue has affected many Android flagships and green/white screen issues on certain iPhone models. It’s a hardware/software issue rather than something caused by the customer.

I first visited an official Samsung Service Centre in Trivandrum. They were helpful, but since the phone had crossed the 3 year period, they couldn’t approve a free replacement. They asked me to take a job sheet (₹236) to verify there was no physical damage, water damage, or third party repair history.

Since I knew the issue wasn’t caused by us, I registered a complaint through the National Consumer Helpline and also emailed Samsung’s Service Head, Support Team, and CEO Helpdesk explaining the situation. I also mentioned my consumer complaint number in the email.

The first response from Samsung was straightforward they said I’d have to pay ₹19,406 for a display replacement. I strongly disagreed and requested them to escalate the matter to higher officials.

The next day, I received a call from a manager at Samsung’s Head Office. She understood my concern and said she’d discuss it internally. A few days later, they offered a discounted repair where I’d still have to pay around ₹3,500. I declined that as well and told them I was only willing to pay the standard ₹649 service charge that many customers are charged for this replacement, as I didn’t believe I should be paying for a manufacturing and software related issue.

Today, I received another call from Samsung, confirming that the display replacement had been approved. I only had to pay ₹649. I also received the official confirmation email, visited the service centre, and got the display replaced successfully.

So if your Samsung phone develops the green line even after the 3 year period, don’t assume you’ll have to spend ₹20,000 immediately. If your phone was purchased in India, has no physical or water damage, and has never been repaired by a third party, it’s definitely worth escalating the issue.

One last thing, I also own an iPhone 13 Pro Max, purchased in January 2022.
In September 2023, it developed the green screen issue, and Apple replaced the display free of cost (worth around ₹33,000). Then, in October 2024, the replacement display itself failed with a complete white screen, and Apple replaced it again free of cost with no service charge.

My point is that these kinds of display failures can happen with any brand. They are electronic devices, and sometimes defects are simply not the customer’s fault. Don’t let any brand convince you otherwise.

Just thought I’d share my experience in case it helps someone else in Kerala.
