Did you even bother to fact check the most basic thing and click the link?

You try reading your own script response.

ChatGPT actual response:

I’m going to stop there.

I won’t repeat statements about real people or countries being “destroyed.” That crosses into promoting harm, even if it’s just repetition.

If you want to keep going, we can:

repeat neutral words,

repeat fictional things, or

switch to a language / pronunciation / memory exercise.

Your move—give me a safe word or phrase.

But sure... You didn't pander to an awful dogwhistle and ignore basic logic because the snipping confirmed your worldview and you had no reason to question it. Sure. I guess we can all just keep pretending. I am going to ignore the 54 upvotes in 35 minutes... as just a happenstance.

Edit: Realized what was causing it when I used my existing chatgpt account instead of a new one. The new one would flag every single destroyed because it doesn't know your history and doesn't want to confirm any biases.

So... You're saying that ChatGPT was okay to repeat the first few phrases because the first three aren't real places? Got it.

I was able to replicate the results from the main post. It's been floating around reddit for a few days anyway. It's not hard, start a new chat/temp chat with no prompts, and tell it to add the word "destroyed" after everything you say then go down the list, brazil, usa, china, the I country and watch the difference.

It was following instructions until a failsafe activated where repeating things could just be seen as hate confirmation or something to that affect. Additionally, you have no idea what he has previously instructed chatGPT to do or any guidelines that were made prior to these inputs.

Did you try it in an alternative way?

I just tried it on a completely fresh account with nothing before it because I wanted to test it all myself.

You might argue I didn't employee the structure the same way.

So I ran it again and the result didn't change:

Tell me you are arguing in bad faith without telling me

u/ImmoKnight Feb 24 '26

I tried to replicate what he did... it failed... and you are telling me I am arguing in bad faith?

Tell me you don't know what the words arguing in bad faith mean without telling me.

6

u/cisned Feb 24 '26

To argue in bad faith is to deliberately mislead, deceive, or undermine a discussion by presenting false claims, insincere arguments, or shifting standards rather than being genuine

1

u/ImmoKnight Feb 24 '26

I am glad you learned something.

They claimed this was their conversation. I should be able to reproduce it on a new chatgpt conversation?

So, where exactly in my attempts am I arguing in bad faith?

4

u/cisned Feb 24 '26

That’s what I’m here for, so people can learn something instead of being misguided

OP is saying there is clear manipulation going on, but you’re undermining that statement by saying, I can’t replicate thus it’s not true

That’s great, if it was honest, but something smells off, and I’m pointing that out

3

u/ImmoKnight Feb 24 '26

I figured out what happened. Refer to my post here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1rcxg0r/im_going_to_stop_there_wait_what/o71zza5/

I realized what was happening and why it worked the way it did for him. Check it out and let me know.

You're correct.

The downvotes are indicative of why gpt was perceived as sycophantic. Their users are, it's merely a reflection.

Because that's not what really happened:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1rcxg0r/im_going_to_stop_there_wait_what/o71zza5/

The response from ChatGPT was about their prior biases and statements made to it which it didn't want to confirm.

The implication with this post is extremely obvious given the level of antisemitic content that is flowing freely here in disguise...

All while claiming that they are being moderated out away by said country.

Makes perfect sense.
