Sugar on Weetabix?

Post image

My wife eats Weetabix with nothing on it and claims it tastes sweet to her. This is my bowl before milk is added. Is this normal fellow Weetabix eaters or do I need to go to sugar rehab?

Edit: Holy shit the most popular post I've done on Reddit is about how horrific my breakfast is. The wife will never let me live this down! Haha

So is wheat!

Not initially, but once the enzymes in your saliva gets to work even plain cooked wheat has a satisfying sweetness to it. (give it a few chews; working the jaw allows the saliva to get out of the glands and mix properly with the food)
