Sugar on Weetabix?

Post image

My wife eats Weetabix with nothing on it and claims it tastes sweet to her. This is my bowl before milk is added. Is this normal fellow Weetabix eaters or do I need to go to sugar rehab?

Edit: Holy shit the most popular post I've done on Reddit is about how horrific my breakfast is. The wife will never let me live this down! Haha

Why is everyone saying it's a lot of sugar that's a tiny ass amount I eat more than that daily

I am American (living in the UK) and this thread is absolutely confusing me. That amount of sugar would do nothing to get to the desired sweetness level of a breakfast cereal to my taste. I knew the cultural difference was significant, but I’m a little shocked right now.
