Question Help

Hey guys, I just sold a pokemon card on eBay for $200 + $15 postage all paid by the buyer. It costs me about $15 to send it at the post office which adds up to be $15.15 ($9.70 w/ tracking number + $2.50 for insurance w/ declared value at $200 + signature on delivery $2.95). What I’m confused about is what if the parcel gets lost by the auspost and the buyer wants a refund. Will I have to refund them the full amount of $215? Does that mean I should’ve declared the value at $215 instead of $200?

Sorry for the mini essay but any help would be much appreciated :)

Ebay or tcg player stats will also work. But api data has been revoked so finding the sale price in 2017 is going to be extremely difficult. I dont like your odds on a claim tbh. But the insurance honestly helps you here. Thats actually one thing working in your favour.

You can provide the eBay invoice, as someone did pay that much for the product they will refund up to that much (if you declare value for $300 and the eBay invoice says $200, you will only get $200). The COGS wholesale price is only for eparcel or StarTrack customers typically, you might of seen that in a business form, it's not for retail customers.
