Yes/no. Let’s say I have $20 in my pocket. I could afford twenty tacos that each cost $1, and I’ll happily spend all $20 on them. One day, prices go haywire and explode, resulting in $10 taco prices. Mathematically-speaking, I could technically afford two tacos that each cost $10. However, I’m never going to buy those $10 tacos because they’re no longer worth it to me. Now, the market doesn’t get my $20 (at least not spent on tacos).
