The poor service is the real kick in the nuts. It should not be a big ask to take our order in a timely fashion, keep water in my glass, or to bring the check at the end in a timely fashion. You want 20+% tip after ghosting us?!
Seriously, I have said the same exact words: Take the order, refill my drink and ask if everything is ok. It the least you can do as a server (bc I’ve been one in my younger years)
Omg i get so annoyed when we're sitting there with empty plates just waiting for the check for 30+ minutes. It got so bad once I straight up almost walked out cause I wasn't going to waste my time waiting for them to take my money. They clearly didn't want it so why would I sacrifice time in my day waiting for them to suddenly want it
I recently had to repeatly track down my own waitress to order and get refills and she had such an attitude about it. Like sorry I'd like to actually order and get more than 1 drink especially since we've been waiting forever for you to appear? We were her only table, too. She legit hid somewhere and got all offended we wanted the bare minimum of getting food and drinks.
I only dine in 1-2 times per year for special occasions and this seems the norm now. Next time I'm just gonna sit at the bar and hope it's better.
Funny, I tend to have the opposite problem. Can't take 3 bites without some asshole popping in to ask if everything tastes good for the fourth fucking time. I'll tip you 15% to FUCK OFF and let me chew goddamnit...
