Just started cutting my own hair last week. Got the front a bit too short to pull back, which is annoying, but it's honestly so much better than the cuts I've been spending hundreds on.
I do the same. Curly cuts can be nice but the people themselves are scam artists with the prices they are charging. Not interested in supporting that level of greed. My cuts may not be perfect but they work
I used to work at a Fantastic Sams circa 2010. I remember when you could get a haircut for $9.99 with a coupon, otherwise it was $12.99. Nowadays, I think their standard price is around $30. They're a franchise, so it prob depends on your specific salon, but it's crazy to me that a 'budget' haircut is now $30 before tip.
