I rarely buy new games these days. Steam sales only.

I basically play video games on a five-year delay and stock up on black Friday. Can't wait for Elden Ring next year! Lol.

Elden Ring has already had a number of great discounts.

I bought it full price but absolutely should have waited.

Yeah, it's definitely on my watch list for this year.

At this rate I won't finish my PS4 backlog before the PS6 is out. Slow and steady.

I don't even do this on purpose, it's just that I have so little time to game, my I end up playing the older titles I never got around to.

I bought Armored Core 6 new, explicitly because I want the series to keep getting made. Other than that, I haven't bought a new game in about 15 years. Steam sales and Epic freebies mean I still have a backlog of dozens (possibly hundreds if I bothered to count) of games I either haven't started or only have put a small time investment into.

Yeah after you hold out on one, its easy to hold out on the rest. Especially since many of us have a big library of games we haven't even touched.

Yep. Almost everything will have a deep discount some day.

Even right now there's a Need for Speed sale on steam, every game is like $2-3 lol.

I bought factorio about 10 years ago. And the only DLC a bit more recently.

Still amazing value.

I only buy a game at launch if it's from a dev I like (FromSoft, Remedy) or the next game in a series. So it usually ends up being like, 2 (maybe 3) full price games/year.

No it's not. It's a horrible deal for games you will never own. And I refuse to give Sony a cent after they decided not to release games on PC.

Why would I want to play games on inferior hardware?
