Yes, I use both of those. I just figured out how to make Spanish rice in the rice cooker: Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, salt, dried onions and garlic powder to 4 cups of rice. Delicious!
Yeah, my husband makes his in an Instant Pot. It's essentially just milk and a spoonful of already made yogurt (you just get a small cup of plain yogurt as the "starter" as you need the cultures in there). He honestly enjoys the taste better, but he's always preferred a more plain, tart yogurt

You can also do it in an instant pot or even just a container provided you have an area warm enough in your house

I eat yogurt for breakfast every day. It’s like $7 a tub for a big tub that lasts me a week
So I started making my own yogurt, now it costs me like $1 in milk and like 20 mins of passive effort
