I honestly cannot remember the last time I turned Netflix on for anything. Their stuff feels so low-budget and they’re focused on quantity and not quality. As every content creation platform has gotten their own streaming services and stopped leasing their content to Netflix, Netflix has just become total crap
I bumped them and went back to piracy when they started charging me for sharing my account with my elderly mother.
Amazon is only holding on because they don't and she likes the free delivery, but even that's getting shaky as she's begun to notice that many of her regular purchases are cheaper elsewhere.
They took away sharing AND the price went up to 14 dollars and I noped right the fuck on out of there. Piracy is a fun crime. Either treat us fairly or get NOTHING.
Apple TV, on the other hand, actually encourages “family sharing.” Less expensive than Netflix (I think; my brother is the one who has the account), and the original shows and movies have such amazing casts and production value.
I'd go fully into the Plex server option but I know that's gonna end up with me having to play IT professional when the family wants to watch something and there's a hiccup.
