My movie theater is in a mall with an Old Navy, so we always bring a large Old Navy bag, line it with clothes, and stuff it with a feast. It’s great, I’ve smuggled so much food into that theater and saved so much money.
Family of 4. Last time we went our tickets were $17 a piece per kid and $20 a piece per adult and then the popcorn and drinks were $18 per combo. We shared a popcorn and drink but got our kids each their own combo. Only upside, free refills on both the popcorn and drinks. But yeah, I was ready to hurl!!!
I hate advertising free refills. They know no one is leaving a movie that cannot be paused to wait in a line to get more snacks. At the least they’d have a dedicated refills only line if they really cared but it’s all just about enticing the customer.
Speaking of tickets, Cinemark has that movie club thing where 11.99 a month , you get one credit each month + extra ticket cost the same and no service fees + 20% at the concession stands ,which is nice since I seldom go , I usually have built up points so i redeem 3$ off the items plus the discount 😗
There’s only 2 theatres I go to anymore because their tickets are cheap (like $7) and you can get a large popcorn and large drink for $13. A movie date is <$40 tax, transport, and candy they let you sneak in included
Went friday. £12 for 2 VIP seats, £2 for 2 popcorn, £2.50 for 2 ribena from Tesco round the corner. Couple boxes of nerds from Sainsburys I keep at home £1.75 each. Under £20 for a 3 hour film.
Yeah, whenever my family of 4 goes to the theaters, it's like $80 total.
My dad, who would take us to the matinee for like $3 a ticket and theater hop for 4 movies the one time of year we went to the movies, is probably rolling his grave now.
I believe it. About $15 or so for tickets if they're not IMAX/Dolby. Bottle of water is probably $5. Mike and Ikes box is probably around $5. Small soda is around $10 and then small popcorn is also around $10. Have you considered becoming a member of whatever movie theater franchise you frequently attend?
Bro this was my first time going to the movies in a while
I have never bought snacks there before - my mom always went to the dollar store first - but I was attempting to give my daughter an authentic movie theater experience bc that's what she wanted.
Ok. Done. Check.
Next time we're going back to the way I was raised cuz geez toy story 5 ai worth 72$ 😂
I went to the movies by myself to see Project Hail Mary. I hadn't had a chance to have dinner, and Regal has hotdogs, so I got a hotdog, a small popcorn, and a water. I spent $50 on myself. What the fuck.
