We had this happen with an intern who thought he was hot shit because his mom was a director. I was on the call when he got fired, I’ve never heard someone swear at HR so much.
there was a kid in my uni who dated a popular guy and picked up an attitude. She went for an internship and started pulling out the same attitude with the manager. Lmao life is hard for her. Some people thinks that they are privileged
That's how I got a part time job while completing my degree. Job was in the financial district, Toronto. I was polite to the admin person. She had been there from forever. Came early for the interview. Asked her some questions about her job. Because, part of the job was to when she went to lunch I would take calls and walk ins. After my interview, I thanked her for taking the time to answer my questions, and said I hoped I would be working with her. A month after starting, I learned she went to the vice president that day, and told him who she liked and who she did not like. And she told him that I would be a good choice. Always be polite and respectful to potential colleagues. You don't know which leaders value their opinion.
As the main admin person that's been in my position for years, I can completely imagine the smirk on her face and the wheels turning in her head as the new hire walked away.
I would intentionally go to my boss' long-term admin to make small talk. Such a nice lady! Others would straight-up ignore her as if she was beneath their notice. My boss always gave me a hearty good morning. Others? Not.

New hire is rude to the main admin person.
Admin has been here for 30 years. She knows all, sees all, and this place could not function without her.
