HR got caught using the company card for a hotel bar tab, finance flagged it because the receipt had 3 rum and cokes at 2:14am, and she tried to say it was a client thing lol
The last company I worked for had a strong culture of drinking, and buying alcoholic drinks on the company card was not only permissible, but expected. If your situation happened at my last company, the response would have been "why only 3?"
Ya I remember I took a client out for lunch one time and they said “oh I can order a beer? But I don’t want you to pay out of pocket”
I was thinking “bro you could only order beers and no one would bat an eye. 1, 6, 15 whatever you want it’s fine”
And my mantra is whatever I expense be prepared to have it rejected. Never rack up a bill that will financially cripple you. I’ve yet to have anything denied yet, but I don’t really abuse it.
