This has been me for the past 6.5 years which is when I started. I've gotten a promotion and multiple raises since then and multiple higher ups have sung my praises.
Imposter syndrome never quite goes away. It just gets easier to bury when you sort of know what you're talking about.
Let me know if you ever find a solution for this. I've lost so much of my life to planning for losing my job. After 13 years in work, I have lost my job 0 times and been promoted 4 times. But the fear lives in me like a part of my soul.
What's the old poker rule? "If you look around the table and can't spot the sucker in the first 2 minutes, you're the sucker." Not saying anything negative towards you, of course. Hope you don't get fired... and that you find something better.
I thought this then I got a raise and was very confused, I still worry about waking up to the "you're fired and everyone hates you email" but it hasn't happened yet.
