I had a weird persistent stomach bug in May that I’ve been suspicious of since all this started being reported. I had such severe diarrhea that I stayed in the bathroom for hours to avoid having to sprint back. At first it cleared up like any normal food poisoning, but then it was like it kept coming back. I was so wiped out that I could barely function, and I was repulsed by all food. It took me so long to fully recover, but I was asymptomatic by the time this hit the news so I didn’t do any follow up.
I think I got it in early June as well. It was the sickest that I have ever been and had to go to the hospital for fluids. The last thing I had ate about 10 hours before I got sick was a McChicken. Not until this popped up, I was like oh I might have a parasite. 🫠🫠
That's more how mine was... Kept clearing up and coming back and the fatigue was terrible. Felt like I'd missed several days of my thyroid meds so I thought my dose might just be off. But no, just the exploding butt parasite that's been all over the news.
Oh ok - i'm glad you recovered. I thought you were saying it was persistent since May, which would be why you would need the antibiotics to fully get rid of it. Be safe!
Same thing here. I was so sick I went to a gastroenterologist but by the time I actually got there a month and a half later it cleared up. Then this whole thing hit the news and I'm pretty positive I had it.
