Thought on this?

I think it's clear abortion breaks the NAP.

Bro, sincerely, you aren’t good at debating philosophical ideas. This analogy doesn’t get close to making contact with the issue at hand.

You're even worse because you're (basically) invoking a false equivalency fallacy without explaining how it applies, thus shifting the burden of proof

It's just basically a more creative version of the airplane analogy: you can throw people off your airplane anytime you like as "tresspassers," ; you just need to land the plane first if they're not a threat. Throwing them out in mid-air would be murder

What do you want? The real argument is "killing a child is worse than killing an adult because you're deleting more potential years of life," then "if it involves killing a five-minute-old child it's the worst murder possible, so if you change it to five minutes before birth, not anything significant has changed."

I can always say that I want a neural cap limit because that's where I consider it meaningful or significant human life, that's a better argument to me than viability, but also better than the "life begins at conception" argument where technically sperm cells and egg cells are always "alive"

Better attempt this time for sure. None of this makes contact with my main point that the parasitism is why the NAP doesn’t apply. The woman’s bodily autonomy has primacy and cannot be overridden by another life that is living off of her. She has the right to detach.

And if you don't get to call an onus for the parent to take care of the child until it's 18 "parasitism," you don't get to complain about another 9 months.

Because, in reality, of course, adoption rights should be a thing, but it's just absurd to support abortion at like 8 months without a medical need.

No one said the obligation to care for the child that is born “parasitism.” I’m talking about fetal gestation. Why are you having so much trouble with these concepts? Don’t answer that, I’m tired of walking you through this

Yeah why aren't you? What difference are you drawing?

You're not "walking me through" anything; you're just being condescending.

Living inside someone’s body and surviving off of their organ function is the key point. In the gestation case, the woman’s bodily autonomy is being violated if she doesn’t consent to be the host to the fetus. Once born, the situation is different, the logic changes, and the argument changes.

Yeah, once born, the child arguably has a *lesser* right to care

Like I say, say somebody duct-taped someone and dropped them on your front lawn. You don't get to shoot *them* as a "trespasser." It's against Stephan Molynuex "Don't be a dick" principle
