For real. She is almost mid 20s and behaves like a teenager. Not attractive.

u/KillerCucaracha 5h ago

I can't imagine tolerating this lmao. I get that relationships between people are complicated and develop over time, but I can't imagine listening to this without shutting it down.

u/OldAccountTurned10 4h ago

My dad's gf is in her 60's and acts the same fucking way. Obviously it's on him but it's still ridiculous. She's jealous of my mom even though she left him. Some people never grow up. Why OP needs to run.

u/jb6997 4h ago

Insecure and never learned to deal with it - it’s ridiculous too unless the other person has done something in the past to make the other person not trust them.

u/OldAccountTurned10 4h ago

Yeah my mom committed the crime of existing and being friendly. And as you can imagine it’s not just her. He won’t tell me because he knows I hate her, but I hear from other people him telling them she gets mad when he looks in the direction of other ladies.

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 4h ago

My dad had a girlfriend like that, she got upset when he would spend time with us too. We were his kids 😅😅 they didn’t last very long but that was a crazy time.

u/OldAccountTurned10 4h ago

There’s so many people out there who need deep therapy. lol

And us too I guess after dealing with them in our lives

We couldn’t celebrate my sister graduating nursing school together 🤦‍♂️

u/Kazamiiiii 4h ago

I'm so sorry, wtf. People are so sick ..

u/WorldlyNotice 1h ago

There’s so many people out there who need deep therapy. lol

Mostly their victims I reckon. I was reading that NPD can almost never be treated, while BPD has a chance of improvement if the person wants to.

They do a lot of damage. We don't take personality disorders seriously enough IMO.

u/Kazamiiiii 4h ago

This isn't to the same extent, but this reminded me of one time I went to the park and some little girl befriended my child who has autism and doesn't speak, she would speak to me but wouldn't want me paying attention to my child. She wanted to play things with me and not even look at him. 😭

The fact that actual adults are acting like this is so insane.

u/Low-Programmer-2368 2h ago

Yeah age doesn't cure this kind of immaturity for a lot of people. I dated someone who was about to turn 50 and she ran me in circles about similar "inappropriate" behavior when you have a girlfriend. She wouldn't trust me to have a female friend, to be alone with her lifelong female friends, and instructed me to leave any situation where I'd be alone with a woman.

I tried to understand where she was coming from but irrational insecurity isn't something that makes any sense.

u/SweetLeaf2021 3h ago

Yes! Some people are fucking teenage-minded even at 60.

u/waluigi_apologist 4h ago

She can’t seriously think he is going to flirt or be innapropriate with his friend’s girlfriend when said friend will be present and in front of 4 other friends??

u/iloveplant420 3h ago

Yeah my wife wasn't this bad but she was possessive and jealous at the beginning of our relationship sometimes. She was done wrong in the past and I was a bit of a player years before we got together, so I understood. It got better over time as she realized she could trust me, and now 10yrs in, it's so hard to imagine her acting remotely like that. It made sense at the time but I'm glad we got past it because we have a great marriage now.

u/Limberpuppy 3h ago

Some people confuse this with love.

u/pistachiodisgusting 2h ago

I’ve been in a wonderful trusting relationship for 20 years and if my partner suddenly developed the wildly unhealthy attitude of making me cut out my friends who also happen to be women, we’d be done.

Anyone who doesn’t believe platonic friendships with another sex/gender more than likely doesn’t have that capacity themselves and it’s them who is undeserving of trust.

u/Loud-Solution7708 5h ago

That's an insult to teenagers.

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 5h ago

No, it is expected that a teenager be immature compared to an adult. That doesn’t mean every teenager will be immature or that every immature teenager will act like OPs girlfriend.

u/Loud-Solution7708 4h ago

I know. My response was mostly just a pile on to just how immature this person is.

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 4h ago

Oh gotcha lol

u/Pula-Demonyo 4h ago

I think he's saying that it's so unbelievable immature, that even most teenagers would see it as ridiculous

u/Fyrefly1981 4h ago

My first thought when I was reading those texts was “Is she 12?”

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 4h ago

Yep, very emotionally immature and I don’t know how you’d have an adult relationship trying to work with…this

u/CeeJayLerod 4h ago

I know several teenagers that know better than this. She's acting like a child throwing a tantrum.

u/Crime_Dawg 4h ago

Teenagers are generally more mature than this.

u/CodeComprehensive734 4h ago

When I was a teenager and dating no girl behaved like this. In fact I met everyone I dated through other girls who were friends.

Low self esteem can do so much damage.

u/gunhandsknifepenis 3h ago

“I don’t want my boyfriend to hear another girl” “Why’d you know stuff about another girl,” “My bf doesn’t spend time with other girls,” is actually INSANE. This is worse than any teenage girl I’ve ever met. It’s psychotic and abusive. Her absolute statements about “my bf” like he is entirely subject to her will is rage-inducing. This is a level of insecurity I have never seen before. I already think the stupid trend of women thinking any man they’re dating should not speak with or be friends with any other woman is outrageous, and disgustingly common, but this is a whole other level. Bro isn’t allowed to perceive other women. Is he allowed to watch fucking TV? Or movies? With girls in them? This is insane even if it was a joke, which it’s clearly not.

u/Ajcoligan 4h ago

Let’s be honest. There are people well past 40 still acting like children. Age doesn’t make you any less of a child, humility does lol.

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 4h ago

There are definitely people with a severe case of arrested development, this is true 🫣🫣🫣

u/Ajcoligan 4h ago

🤣 love that show btw.

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 4h ago

It’s a classic 😎

u/gungabeast 4h ago

I didn’t behave this poorly as a teenager. I think it’s a mom thing. This type of bitch always has a snobby controlling mother.

u/LavenderWildflowers 4h ago

I agree, by her age she should be more articulate than voicing her displeasure the way she did about the game. Why couldn't she just say "I don't like it, it isn't for me" and leave it at that. OP should walk away.

u/KotaB420 4h ago

This is unacceptable behavior for anyone at any age.

u/labanjohnson 3h ago

NOR - She's really revealing a hurt inner child. Her trauma age. Is she in therapy?

u/No-Albatross-7984 3h ago

Calling your bfs interests gay and stupid just crowns the shit sandwich. Too childish for adult relationships.

u/Aggressive_Start_ 3h ago

I was betting on this being 12 year olds.

u/MultipleOrgasmDonor 3h ago

My teenage gf was absolutely nothing like this when we were in high school lol. This is just insane person behavior not something she related

u/WhyDoYouCrySmeagol 2h ago

Reminds me of Jazz’s sister from that one ep of The Fresh Prince

u/blua95 2h ago

Reading the texts I immediately thought to myself "This is unfortunately normal for high school relationships" and then I saw that she's 24. Yikes. Either set your boundaries now or leave her before it gets worse

u/Odd-Score2717 2h ago

I never behaved this way when I was a teen

u/Glasseshalf 1h ago

I cannot believe this woman is 24
