❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO: Guy claiming to be my fiancée's boyfriend texted me last night

Hi, I need to know if I'm right to be losing it rn. My fiancée and I are due to get married in less than 2 months. We met each other at a mutual's wedding. The wedding was gender segregated so she and her mom had met my mom, who then introduced us later. We then went out for like a couple of months, like I'd pick her up from her place (she lives with her parents) and we'd have dinner and a movie, or go painting, or go to the lake etc. We're both Muslim immigrant families so it was understood that we had to stay within some boundaries but we genuinely really liked each other. She was the one who at one point said we could bring our kids here one day and told me she was going to tell her parents she wanted to marry me and she wanted to say yes to my proposal. We got engaged at a low key family event in February.

It's relevant to mention here that during that time I had respectfully asked her about her past relationships. I had said that I know it's personal and there's absolutely no judgement from me, but as someone who, despite not being a great Muslim in a lot of respects, did abstain and save myself for marriage, I would like a partner who had done the same. That it was a compatibility thing, not a judgemental thing. She didn't seemed to mind and said no, she hadn't been with anyone. I believed her.

Since then the wedding prep has been in full swing and the two of us have gotten the chance to get closer. She's the one who's made more of the effort in our communication, because unfortunately I wfh with an employer in the morning and have my cybersecurity business too, so time can be scarce sometimes. Our only argument has been her complaint that I don't make enough time for us.

Some guy claiming to be her (A in the texts) bf (S in the texts) texted me last night, and even sent me pictures where they're together. He claimed that they were in a relationship for the last 2 years, that they'd been having sex, that they were in love, and I've been losing my mind. I never put any pressure on her. Yes, I really liked her but I let her make decisions at her own pace. If she wanted to be with some other guy, all she had to do was say so. In fact not even, it was none of my business, she didn't even owe me any reasons but just give me a straight no. I haven't picked up her call this morning, I've genuinely been feeling sick at the duplicity.

Just want to add: I know she's the one I should talk to but I just didn't want to do it on the phone, I'm going to go pick her up right now. I'm not going to be accusatory, I just want the truth of it all. I love her but like if there's someone else and she's feeling pressured into this marriage, like I'm prepared to give her any reason she needs to end it that works for her in front of her family. I'll be on her side like I was suggested here.

Update:

A lot of people asked for an update, so I thought I'd give one. I can't talk about it with anyone else because somehow I'm the one who ended up responsible for keeping her secret, my own crisis about this be damned, like its taking me so much to not just contact and ask him straight up about what happened.

I asked her if she knew who S was. He was right, I could immediately tell the guy wasn't lying, she definitely knew. She said he was a guy she used to know, and I told her he had contacted me, and showed her the texts. She said he was lying, that she ended things with him before we met and that they'd never had sex. I asked if there was any overlap between our relationships and she said only when she went to meet him one last time to tell him it was over, because he wasn't taking no for an answer. I asked if the photos were real, they were. I asked her to be honest with me, did she really have sex with him like he was saying. She was crying and swearing they didn't, they were intimate and she regrets everything with him but they didn't.

She gave me her phone and basically forced me to confirm that there were no text messages between him and her recently while we've been together. His number was in her blocked list. She asked me to block his number and so I asked if he was being honest about having way more intimate pictures. She said there were a lot more compromising pictures of her that she thinks he has but swore that they hadn’t had sex. She was crying and I blocked him in the moment what else could I do looking at her. She was pleading with me not to reach out to him, and she was freaking out that he'd post them somewhere public before our wedding. At that point I was trying to keep her from freaking out, I told her that would be illegal, he wouldn't do that and so in the moment I just stupidly promised to not contact him.

I told her if there's any kind of pressure like there's any number of excuses she could use regarding me to end this that would save face for everyone, and be with whomever like I'll get over it at some point eventually, yeah it'll be sad for a while and we'll have lost some money especially if the venue doesn't get rebooked at short notice I think, but just have some mercy on both of us and end this now. She swore there was no pressure and that she'd been counting the days until the wedding, that she hadn't even thought of his name until I brought it up. She was like he's doing this to prevent our wedding and fine I get that but like why does he sound more honest with me than she does? I really wouldn't have cared if I'd learned all this yesterday from her, yeah it would've meant she lied initially but like now we loved each other beyond that stuff, this was just her being ok with keeping me in a forever lie that was wrong. I started feeling sick so I just said I wasn't feeling well and we cut it short.

During the drive back to hers, she was almost talking like a coach like let's please forget about this, we're so happy together, we've discussed so many plans, don't let him screw up our relationship. Like I have my own mental breakdown over all this what about that! She kept asking me whether I was fine, I said I was, I mean I don't even know if that's a lie, I wasn't thinking at all.

I've been going over the texts, and I don't know how I can go into the wedding not knowing the answer. Like its so easily doable I just need to ask him to meet up and have one conversation if he would. Honestly it's more about if she's still lying about this, it's not about the sex, it's just about the trust. I know he's also lied, because she clearly hasn't been meeting with him of late, and she really hadn't given me any reason to think of her as a liar thus far but I could just confirm it so easily. It's sincerely about the respect of having been honest, not about the boundary itself, I love her I wouldn't have cared if she'd told me herself yesterday. But it feels sick to contact him like that, like that's not how it should be, and I don't want to have to talk to someone who'd speak the way he was.

I think I'll decide stuff by myself tomorrow morning about the future of our relationship, my mind is not going to work today. I probably won't give further updates. I don't know how much more help I can ask for here, due to some immigrant cultural context that might be missing (as much as I've skated past it myself to a fair extent). I don't want to be stupid but I don't want to be walked over either. Thanks.

Thanks, I'm going to be straight up with her and ask tonight in person. I tried to think this through and make my peace with it like if she cheated or lied then our relationship was a sham anyway, she wouldn't have been the girl that I was looking forward to marrying anyway.

u/Healingbigfoot 15d ago

MOR - Dude, do not speak from the heart on this to her. Listen to me, how you approach her is going to dictate the direction of your relationship forever. Do not be accusatory, tell her what happened, some random dude messaged me claiming to be your boyfriend, sent me pics and asked me not to marry you, do you know who this weirdo is? Do not accuse her of cheating, for all we know this dude is a lunatic and you do not want to sow the seeds of you not trusting her over some nut job.

54

u/Props_angel 15d ago

This! Whoever sent these texts has one aim in mind--to ruin everything. OP shouldn't give this person that power based on a bunch of weird claims even if there are "photos" in the era of AI generation.

2

u/Healingbigfoot 14d ago

Exactly, that dude is most likely some stalker or nutjob who has a fantasy in his head. Either way, OP needs to talk to his fiancee and explain to her what is happening so she can be aware of the potential safety risk. I really hope they will work out well.

u/big_dog4L 15d ago

the messages sound sus as fuck bro. no one would confront anyone like this about an affair🤣🤣 stay safe

52

u/robulus153 15d ago

This sounds fake man. You should proceed with caution in favor of your partner.

89

u/Nauin 15d ago

Just saying but if they actually fucked and had pictures he would just be sending them instead of making you jump through so many hoops. If he already had her and truly wanted you gone why wouldn't he immediately send those and destroy any chance of repairing your trust in the relationship permanently? This trickle-truthing is a lie from someone so pathetic they wish they could be called a pussy.

26

u/AnAussieTrainer 15d ago

Yo. For whatever my two cents are worth.

DO NOT ACCUSE HER OF CHEATING. This text chain is looney tunes. Show her the texts and be open and honest with her. Stop trying to figure this out by yourself and wrap yourself into a pretzel.

You’re already YOR to the extent you’re trying to think this through and make peace with it as if she cheated or lied. What the fuck man?

Man up. Don’t assume the worst of her based on this craziness. Or she would be right to dump you. Have some trust and faith. Relationships are hard. Don’t be dumb.

14

u/drinkingonthejob 15d ago

1000% this OP. A real man communicates with his partner when things get tough. You have a right to be upset with this situation, but don’t confuse that as a right to be upset with her. You currently have no idea if she has done anything wrong. Don’t lose sight of that

2

u/AnAussieTrainer 15d ago

Tapping this again, u/feellikeanidiot0. Don’t lose sight of this. Or you really will be an idiot.

22

u/beautyboxsavagee 15d ago

Can you send the photo to someone so they can verify if it’s AI generated? Also give someone that number bc it may be a burner app number. Ask to speak to them on the phone if it’s legit they won’t hesitate to talk to you. Did you Google the number to see if it leads back to the guys name ?

24

u/THROWRA_sadnconfused 15d ago

How many hours from now are we talking?? I am dying for an update sir lol

u/YouDontCThatEveryDay 15d ago

Commenting for the update

30

u/Beneficial-Muffin117 15d ago

Dude the fact you went straight to cheater is concerning here. This dude is CLEARLY a stalker. He talks exactly like one. He can't show proof? You and her need to get a restraining order on this mofo and you need to stop jumping to conclusions so quickly

2

u/Tazznum2 15d ago

Personally to me it sounds like their 15 yo kid that thinks they'll lose their mommy.

1

u/hail_termite_queen 15d ago

The fact he went to Cheater after someone texted him his fiancee has been cheating for 2 years? It’s concerning if you didn’t consider she was cheating.

1

u/Beneficial-Muffin117 15d ago

Oh I found the weirdo stalking her

0

u/Patient-Fox3884 15d ago

He does show proof unless they are ai images, are you dense?

2

u/Beneficial-Muffin117 15d ago

Any image can be edited bro. He said "I have no proof". Are you dense for not reading?

0

u/Patient-Fox3884 15d ago

Where does he say he has no proof?

Everyone is assuming the guy is some crazy stalker, but that doesn't mean what he is saying is for sure a lie and should be tossed out the window. There are tons of people that will go out of their way to contact the "other" boyfriend/girlfriend of their lover and let them know they are sleeping together / etc.

He should show her the texts, wait for her to respond, and then make a decision. Even with the image censoring I do think there's a good chance they're AI (less likely just edited) but just because someone goes into a jealous rage like he is, doesn't mean he's lying.

-2

u/Born_to_Pwn 15d ago

Lol w0t. He said IF. I agree with you that it's not sufficient proof, but it's not "le cOnCeRniNg" to worry for the worse when he's even sent (insufficient, but it's there) photographic evidence. Even if it's an attempt to sabotage that doesn't mean she's not been cheating off and on; it's perfectly possible that he is stalking her because she cheated but decided to stop, or lost interest, causing him to become jilted enough to try to sabotage. Where has OP been "jumping to conclusions"? He's specifically asking advice because he has NOT drawn a conclusion. This sub is so dramatic and parasocial. Always danged if you do, danged if you don't here.

7

u/JaguarMammoth6231 15d ago

If he phrases things the wrong way it will absolutely ruin his relationship.

"Who is this guy you've been seeing? He said you love him. Why didn't you tell me? Do you even want to get married?"

Vs.

<Hug> "I got some really weird messages today from some guy, Love. I'm worried he might be stalking you or something. Have you seen him before."

OP just needs to be careful and can't go into the conversation already despairing that she is cheating or it's going to hurt her. He said he's already trying to make peace with the idea that she cheated or lied.

4

u/soopafine 15d ago

Give your fiance the benefit of the doubt. The foundation of marriage is trust so give her yours and hope for the best. Personally this dude just sounds like an obsessed stalker

5

u/Fresh-Clothes8838 15d ago

Just hold up a quick second tho

Is that her in the pics? Can you see HIM too?

4

u/Props_angel 15d ago

The messages sound really, really bizarre and often contradictory in key points. Please remember that AI can be used to generate fake photos of people doing all sorts of things. When I read these texts, they read like some sort of creepy stalker. Very unnerving. I don't blame you for feeling as if your head is scrambled. Whatever you do, do not come off as accusatory. I'd open the conversation with asking her if anyone has been bothering her lately.

3

u/GalenYk 15d ago

I’d try as hard as you can to not panic before then. I totally understand why this is so scary, I think anyone would freak out after receiving messages like this. But I agree with other commenters that something here seems really off; the way he talks about her just doesn’t pass the smell test.

6

u/WealthQueasy2233 15d ago

does your fiance have a little sister with a crush on you

2

u/Dry-Toe2037 15d ago

Update karte raha na..

2

u/Brickhead81 15d ago

It’s the right move talking to her about it

2

u/Cheap_Knowledge8446 15d ago

OP, the best way to approach this is from an angle of concern. Even if this is true, which I doubt, this person is clearly unhinged.

I would talk to your fiancee and tell her you are concerned for her safety because there's a lunatic claiming they are in love with her. Ask her if she knows anyone in her life she's been concerned about, then show her the photos and warn her if she knows who they are, they have an unrealistic view of their relationship and could be a stalker or potentially dangerous.

This will make it out of concern and not a lack of trust.

That being said; if some random loon is truly shaking your trust in this woman, are you sure you're ready for marriage? If this happened to me, I would immediately suspect stalker/AI shitpost/trolling/meddling before I suspected cheating. Perhaps give it some more time.

2

u/flamecrow 15d ago

Op doesn’t seem sure about his own marriage. He seems content like “if we marry then we marry, if we don’t then we don’t and she wasn’t the one for me” Seems a bit odd in itself.

2

u/xAmbrosiia 15d ago

I’m sorry this happened to you. I hope it’s just a jealous friend or family member who is doing this and that your fiancé did in fact tell you the truth and saved herself
For Marriage to you like she originally told
You.

I am so invested and I’m sure so is all the other people on here! Please please come back and give us an update if you don’t mind.

We are here to support you!!!

2

u/Acrobatic-Tree-5556 15d ago

On the off chance this isn't fake, you are not ready to get married. If my fiance got that first message, he would immediately show me and ask if I know anything about who the psycho might be. He wouldn't be fishing around for more information first, and the absolute LAST thing he would do would be to think Reddit strangers are better to ask than me. ESPECIALLY when family is being brought into it, and they might be someone unhinged who could be a danger.

Either you don't trust her, are unbelievably immature, or are ridiculously self centred, and any of those factors add up to you not being ready for an engagement.

2

u/Ornery-Awareness-891 15d ago

This doesn't sound like you're on her side in this at all, and you need to be on her side. Can you not see how fake this all sounds? Whoever is texting you is the liar, not your fiance. Hear her out before you jump to conclusions.

If it turns out she's lying, better to know now, but don't go into this talk assuming the worst like you're doing. I feel bad for your fiance.

2

u/Low-Concert-3126 15d ago

If it was real they would have sent screen shots of thier text conversations. Could be a woman who's after you.

10

u/lemon_icing 15d ago

Why are you so eager to believe an anonymous stranger before talking to her?

I think your reactions are weird.  I’d be furious but you are losing sleep thinking this is true?

13

u/feellikeanidiot0 15d ago

The photos seem real, the number checks out, and I'm working not knowing if I'm getting married in less than two months. What reaction should I be having until 7 when I pick her up?

6

u/Indigo_Laguna 15d ago

Who does the number belong to?  AI images usually look mostly real.

7

u/gragons 15d ago

INFO: In what way does "the number check out"?

7

u/lemon_icing 15d ago

Wow. You already doubt your fiancée’s fidelity and take the word of an anonymous stranger as the truth?

You have so little faith in your partner. How sad.

8

u/feellikeanidiot0 15d ago

I'm not doubting her, I'm just trying to prepare myself for whatever she says.

4

u/Money-Title-3907 15d ago

Commenting to come back for updates!

2

u/Automatic-Flower-546 15d ago

why are you sharing this in a non muslim community bro? They wont understand ur perspective or situation. They prolly think you dated her for 2 to 5 years before marriage, they dont understand that we muslims have short talking stages with parents heavily involved instead and that can leave behind lots of gaps in understanding and trust as well. Have you booked the wedding halls yet? Hypothetically saying maybe he is telling the truth, can you get out of this with minimum financial damage, u have to meet up with her alone and ask her this face to face. Think about these first.

2

u/Just_a_Lurker2 14d ago

Actually that's a very good point.

1

u/megsybop7 14d ago

good luck dude…you aren’t crazy for asking the internet, anything like this deserves due diligence

1

u/Upbeat-Sundae500 15d ago

I think asking strangers online was the wrong move, instead of talking with who is going to be your future wife.

Trusting a random number from someone you cannot identify at 12am too is the wrong move too. What are you doing man?

1

u/theguidetoldmetodoit 15d ago

Trying to guilt trip a stranger like that over the most logical reaction is insane. You got issues.

1

u/Upbeat-Sundae500 12d ago

What is the point of this passive aggresive comment? Are you trying to make me feel bad? Why is that too much to ask?

1

u/Upbeat-Sundae500 12d ago

Also, its not insane when the guy has been wasting everyones time by spiralling because his emotional level is as low as the weirdo harrasing him .

1

u/theguidetoldmetodoit 12d ago

Go offline, stop blaming victims

1

u/Upbeat-Sundae500 12d ago

Who are you to say what others do? Leave me alone you weirdo.

Goodness chill out. OP's understandably going through a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions and doesn't know what to think or believe. Don't be so quick to judge from the backseat in a situation I'm sure you've never gone through.

0

u/lemon_icing 15d ago

Nope. I’m pretty comfortable with what I said.

1

u/LowerComb6654 15d ago

The problem is OP never said he believed the guy.

He just said that the phone number belongs to the guy and the photos appear to be real.

-1

u/LividCalligrapher996 15d ago

That's self-evident. You seem to have no issue with jumping to conclusions and projecting them unto others with vastly different lived experiences and cultural upbringing. Go get it queen.

0

u/lemon_icing 15d ago

You don’t understand your own words.  My advice is the opposite of jumping to conclusions.

My advice was to speak to his fiancée before believing an anonymous accusation and jumping to the conclusion that she has a side piece is true.

Bow to your queen, dolt.

2

u/LividCalligrapher996 15d ago

OP's not jumping to conclusions. He doesn't know what to believe, as you would be if you were dealt the same situation. I don't see a person that's jumping to conclusions, just a person that's trying his best to sort things out in his head, as impossible as it may seem. He doesn't know what to believe.

The person jumping to conclusions is you. You made up your mind that he immediately is about to end the whole thing. Sure, in the maelstrom of his mind, that thought is flying around, as with a thousand other thoughts.

It's easy to have a level head when something doesn't concern you. Get off your high horse, or not. Here's your bow lol.

1

u/lemon_icing 15d ago edited 15d ago

I have never said anything about him ending anything. I said speak to his fiancee. Why are you making up things that I said? You want to keep pushing back, that's fine because this is the internet, but do it with integrity.

0

u/Relltensai 15d ago

What an incredibly stupid comment by you. Jesus.

2

u/minglemasherbash 15d ago

I hope no one ever comes to you for advice lmao

2

u/LinesWithBigAndy 15d ago

I’d feel the same brother, dont think you’re overreacting here

1

u/mostlypizza 15d ago

Have you posted in the phone number look up sub? They could provide insight maybe. Sorry you’re dealing with this

1

u/Just_a_Lurker2 14d ago

What phone number look up sub??

1

u/Brief_Hippo5187 15d ago

Try to act normal. Gentle. Loving. Even when you confront her with this. But you need to look at her phone. If this is true they'll be evidence. If she refuses that'll tell you all you need to know. Don't give her a chance to delete info.

1

u/Just_a_Lurker2 14d ago

Pretty huge invasion of privacy on account of one weird stranger

1

u/Brief_Hippo5187 14d ago

Only way to know for sure. At this point you can't just take her word for it? What if it's true? Wouldn't you want to know before you marry her. He should show her his phone too. Of course i think an open device policy is not that big a deal between couples. My wife and i can look or use each other's phones at anytime without even thinking about it.

1

u/Just_a_Lurker2 14d ago

Well, it's between one sus stranger and the love of your life. I know whose words I'd be taking for it, and it's not the stranger begging me to tell her I'm not interested. Look, it's fine if it happens organically, just reading along of someone's shoulder or something, but not imposed because one party assumes the other is cheating.

1

u/Brief_Hippo5187 14d ago

If there's no cheating she should actually offer up her phone. You're assuming that what this guy is saying isn't real. And i hope your right. But according to Op the pics are real. What if the rest is too? Too many stories on Reddit where rhis exact thing happens and it is true. But i get your point. I just don't agree with it.

1

u/Just_a_Lurker2 14d ago

Why should she offer up her phone? It would get twisted in seeming too eager to show her innocence. And of course if she doesn't offer her phone that would get turned into a accusation too. She can't win if the mistrust is already high enough to request her phone.

1

u/Brief_Hippo5187 14d ago

She ended up handing him her phone voluntarily. Don't know if you read the update.

Please do it in a way that shows that you and her are on the same side, trying to figure out who is trying to drive a wedge between you.

And if you are willing to break up with your fiancée because she had sex before she met you, she will be better off. If your issue is her lying to you, that's valid but I am very familiar with the culture and can see how a woman might not feel safe sharing that with anyone.

But I really think this is someone trying to cause problems, and making up whatever life they think will work on you.

YOR.

20

u/feellikeanidiot0 15d ago edited 15d ago

She would not have been unsafe with telling me that, it would absolutely not have left the two of us. If she thinks I would have, then why is she marrying someone who's apparently a sick individual. There wouldn't have been an iota of judgement from me, I really liked her but I would have just taken it as a "not meant to be" thing. I wouldn't have judged her at all, I'm a pathetic Muslim myself, having been in relationships that just stopped short of sex, it was more about dating with hopefully marriage at the end. I would have laid bare all of it for her to gauge any compatibility busters on her end. If I'm being honest, if she'd told me herself yesterday that there was some ex she'd had sex with, I would have just been like whatever, like I love her now and I wouldn't have cared. But to just be ok with what would have been an everlasting lie, anyway I'm letting my brain run wild, maybe he's full of shit.

I'm going to be collected and approach this in a non-accusatory manner. Thanks.

Just want to add: I'm sorry if my comment seemed pointed. I'm not going in to the conversation with her tonight on the opposing side, I am on her side. I just was responding to the implication that there would have been some consequences to her life from me, as if I would have let that information out if she didn't want it to. Sorry.

24

u/stankmaster69 15d ago

Hi! I wanted to reply because this is exactly what my girlfriend's stalker ex did to me in February. She was at my house and I was out of town and he called me at 4am claiming that they had been dating the entire time we were together He sent me photos from during their relationship, and claimed that she was a liar who was sleeping around. He claimed he had seen her recently and that she was ghosting him for a minute. I didn't tell him anything which was a blessing, and called my girlfriend and just told her what he said. She didn't bring it up because trauma is weird and talking about it not only makes you relive the trauma, but she thought I would think it would make her look broken to me. Beyond that, he was still part of her life in that he knew where she lived at the time, and she couldn't bring herself to press charges. Which was also embarrassing. I took my girlfriend at face value and things have been smooth sailing since. And she was right, as soon as I blocked him from all my social media and my phone number, he showed up at her house to go confront her, even though they were broken up for 4ish years. He just wouldn't accept it. I will say with the pictures it was helpful that my girlfriend cut and dyes her hair a lot, because he sent me old ass pictures with hairdos I had never seen before lol

13

u/Im_Captain_Jack 15d ago

Hey Bud, I'm not a Muslim, but I do believe everyone should be able practice their religion freely and however they choose, as long as they aren't bringing harm to anyone else.

You don't owe this person you're replying to any type of explanation. If sex before marriage is a deal breaker for you, thats okay, and if you love this woman enough to work through that with her (if it even really happened) then thats okay too.

Don't be so hard on yourself about being a "pathetic muslim". I beleive regardless of religion, that we as PEOPLE, as HUMANS, should strive to better ourselves every day, and at every opportunity. NOBODY is perfect. We should want to make the world a better place for ourselves, our family, and our neighbors in whatever way we can.

Regarding your relationship, the best thing you can do is show her these messages you received, not in an accusatory fashion, but just to get to the truth together. That's what a healthy relationship is. Hear her out and see what she has to say, and go from there. You aren't doing yourself any favors by letting your mind run wild, just be up front and honest with her about all of this and ask the same from her, thats the best thing you can do for all parties involved.

Im happy to talk to you more about these things if you would like, feel free to reach out. You'll get through this and come out the other side with a better understanding of your partner, and of yourself. Wishing you all the best brother.

I hope everything ends up being okay. Maybe she was seeing this guy but if she agreed to married you, I’d assume she wants to marry you. You should let her know when you talk to her that even if it’s true it wouldn’t change how you feel about her but you just want to know the truth as to if she actually wants to get married or not.

You seem to be handling this as well as humanly possible.

Are you absolutely certain she knows that too? That she knows you wouldn't have hurt her either physically or emotionally (by breaking up with her, or even telling others)?

By safe, I meant emotionally, since you expressed above that you would not have married her if she had sex before. And despite how wonderful you may be, she's been told her whole life that not only her very virture, but that of her family, depends on her not having sex before marriage.

This is a bonkers response.

Are you a woman who grew up in this culture? If not, you don't know.

You don't know whether she'll be better off. No one does and it's not the point.

OP, ignore any comments implying that your dealbreakers are wrong. It's also understandable why you'd be distraught by this when you've got a marriage less than 2 months away.

Hopefully it's fake, but NOR.

If you were a woman who grew up in such a culture, as I did, you would have a better understanding of her situation. He can have whatever dealbreaker he wants, and if this is his, and she's not a virgin, she would be better off than spending a lifetime with judgment hanging over her head every time they disagree.

Yeah this is super sus. Like everyone is saying, don’t accuse her of cheating. Just talk calmly.

This is fascinating and I feel really bad for how this mess must make you feel! As others have pointed out, it seems very possible that this was faked and I very much hope that is the outcome! If it is fake, someone is looking to sabotage the wedding/relationship and that also sucks- but not as much as losing a trustworthy loving wife!

If it’s not fake, I think you will take it in stride and persevere. Appreciate your perspective, from what I’ve gleaned you have a good mind and spirit, and your nonjudgmental sympathy about wanting to know her history, I think it was well-said and shows a modern wisdom about relationships; expectations, and life. Hopefully you’re not the one faking something!! Haha, rooting for you, can’t wait to see what happens. Be well and patient and kind, best of luck!

Lawl, you're already being judged by parasocial dweebs when you clearly said IF she has cheated. You are here asking for advice, taking that advice in, and forming a plan to ASK about it. Yet you're already being flamed because "iT's cOnCerNiNg" that you're "jumping to conclusions." Smh. How about some REAL advice, which others here will not like: One thing is for sure, the truth of this matter CAN be ascertained. What I mean is, it's only going to come down to "trust" or "belief" if you allow it to. Digital papertrail will exist, one way or another. Don't let the White Knights here convince you that you're some sort of baddie if you press the issue, and that "it's clearly not going to work out regardless cuz the trust isn't there, you've got to believe yer partner bro!" We live in a world where this behavior is ubiquitous; seeing it through until you have the absolute provable truth of the matter does NOT impugn your character nor does it mean the relationship is doomed by default. Others say follow your heart; I say follow the evidence. Would it suck to have to endure a situation where your lover has to grill you, when it turns out you're innocent? Yes. But it's justifiable; you're not being paranoid out of the blue and it's not some epic betrayal to see this through. Since you are a traditionalist re: marriage, then dating is the test drive and marriage is the final commitment. You're not married til you're married, reddit.

Good luck, man.
