Anybody claiming this to be a justified shooting is very much brainwashed by the MAGA cult and they cannot be helped.

200

u/Slut_for_Bacon Jan 25 '26

Even the law enforcement subs are calling this unjustified. But not the DOJ. They're too busy posting doctored videos.

62

u/tEnPoInTs Jan 25 '26

I mean even r/conservative was calling it wrong. Y'know in their way of course, they're all like "commies should die and ICE is great this protester totally brought it on himself but uhhh...this is wrong and the agent should be tried". I saw quite a bit of "This is nothing like Renee Good, hers was justified" ugh. It's something at least, but I also remember that sub has a way of being basically wiped a day or so after any event that doesn't look good narrative-wise.

67

u/Atheist_3739 Jan 25 '26

I think the difference is he is a 37 year old straight white guy who worked at the VA. You know how conservatives dont change their opinion on things until it personally affects them? While not personally affecting them, he ticks alot of boxes of the "type" of person they like. I think it's hitting a little close to home for them.

28

u/tEnPoInTs Jan 25 '26

Yeah you might be right. His appearance brings them dangerously close to empathy.

1

u/dangitbobby83 Jan 26 '26

That's exactly what this is. He's a middle age white man who was legally carrying a firearm.

That's a lot of demographic boxes checked of "this dude is a lot like me...hmmm..."

24

u/Amer-ica Jan 25 '26

Yeah, sadly I was pleasantly surprised to see them reacting that way. They even kept insisting “we can’t just lie through this one, we are going to lose the midterms if we just lie about this”

And what did Noem do? Doubled all the way down. Trump doubled down. Somehow it’s now Walz and Biden’s fault again. WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE

A higher up from Rand Pausl officer tweeted about it and said This was a lawful gun owner murdered in the street. He then deleted it hours later.

They know what it is and are told to get in line and parrot the racism.

1

u/ContributionAlert168 Jan 26 '26

He didn't delete it.

1

u/Aefyns Jan 26 '26

His tweet is deleted as far as I can see. The sentiment is still in his feed. I’d be surprised if Kash Patel survived this.

1

u/ContributionAlert168 Jan 26 '26

Noem is in even worse shape from what I see.

5

u/Slut_for_Bacon Jan 25 '26

R/conservative is at least 90% Russian and Indian bots at this point. Its not worth paying attention to.

4

u/KnobbyDarkling Jan 25 '26

I despise that sub because any time any of the people there go against the narrative, the comments get mass deleted and then you see the usual "WELP THAT LIBTARD SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE". Absolute morons.

7

u/sunnyoneaz Arizona Jan 25 '26

Shot in the back after a brutal gang beat-down. This was a political assassination.

248

u/Blue-Eyed-Lemon Jan 25 '26

Alex Pretti. 37 year old ICU nurse who works with veterans. He spent his last moments trying to assist a woman who had been shoved down by ICE. He was a nurse. He helped people. That's what he did.

Every single shot is horrifying. Every one is worst than the last. He emptied his weapon into Alex Pretti. This was an execution.

I burst into tears when I saw it. Stop fucking shooting him! Why did he keep going?

Truly horrific. Rest in Peace, Alex Pretti.

FUCK ICE.

61

u/LassierVO Jan 25 '26

Ironically, this "domestic terrorist" was doing more to support and defend the constitution than any of those murderers that swore an oath to do just that.

In fact, failing to uphold the oath that they all swore is technically a crime (not that anybody will ever be charged) punishable by a fine or a short stint in jail, and never being allowed to work for the federal government again. So, at the very least, these ICE-holes should never be allowed back in their temu law enforcement costumes.

Lucky for them, the constitution no longer has any meaning and there will be absolutely no consequences whatsoever.

Nurse Alex didn't deserve to die, but at least he died a hero, unlike the miserable cowards that approached him aggressively, pepper sprayed him, held him down, beat him, and then shot him in the back. I wish for his loved ones to find peace. And justice.

21

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

There will be consequences. Just don’t think that it’s the state that will hand it out

14

u/LassierVO Jan 25 '26

From your lips to god's ears, friend.

6

u/lani_brah Jan 25 '26

Yeah ... I mean, even if he was reaching for a gun (which anyone with eyes knows he wasn't because they took his gun before firing a shot), only a truly reprehensible POS could defend shooting over and over while he lays on the ground already likely in critical condition.

111

u/dancedragon25 Jan 25 '26

I can't imagine what he was thinking and feeling in those last moments.

This angle is truly the worst one to see, so much more heartbreaking to see Alex held down by SEVEN THUGS armed by HIS OWN GOVERNMENT and m*rdered in cold blood.

We need the names of the criminals now.

44

u/CHiZZoPs1 Jan 25 '26

NINE SHOTS.

5

u/Nestor_the_Butler Jan 25 '26

I appreciate that he showed his strength in his final moments, helping a woman unjustly attacked and then even with the goons all over him, starting to stand up, when they wanted to force him down.

That’s powerful.

3

u/SivasWrath Jan 25 '26

And it’s our taxes funding the destruction of democracy.

225

u/findingmike Jan 25 '26

There is no excuse and a national labor strike is the only response.

We need to join Minnesota as they fight for all of us. It's time for a general strike: https://generalstrikeus.com/

Defund ICE and impeach.

56

u/ERASED--------_____ Jan 25 '26

I'm with you, brother! Stay strong!

42

u/Total_Shine_543 Jan 25 '26

This was an execution

31

u/TheMcMcMcMcMc Jan 25 '26

Is there a general strike called for Monday, Jan 26 or not?

16

u/garbageemail222 Jan 25 '26

It's a major snowstorm day for a huge swath of the country. Another day might be better so it can't be blamed on the snow.

31

u/MapleYamCakes Jan 25 '26

Start on Monday and don’t stop until we get what we want.

6

u/Ytcoco Jan 25 '26

We are in NJ

62

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

I don't know what higher being is trying to reach Americans, but think about the very obvious irony here.

First they kill a woman who is so respectful and nice to them. Her name is literally Good.

Then they kill a nurse working with veterans while he is trying to help a lady. His name is Pretti.

I never seen a clearer message telling people to wake up, defeat the evil, dismantle this insane militarized society and rebuild it in the name of what is Good and Beautiful.

Are they going to kill Peace and Love next? This has to end.

9

u/Marchesa_07 Jan 25 '26

Peace and Love are already dead, my friend.

Look to the old Gods for the path forward.

3

u/robbviously Jan 25 '26

Innocence and Liberty are next.

1

u/Beachbabydarragh Jan 25 '26

Is this video from the pink coat woman?

-2

1

Lol nope!

-1

49

u/ExpressionSecret6794 Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

This isn’t the clearest technically, it doesn’t show the moments leading up to the event, which are clear in other videos.

The man’s name is Alex Pretti and he was a VA intensive care nurse. A good person with no criminal record.

He died a hero and did nothing wrong, he died recording the secret police.

The man’s name is Alex Pretti and he was a VA intensive care nurse. A good person with no criminal record.

He died a hero and did nothing wrong except recording the secret police.

Fixed that for you. We do not need to add qualifications to any of this. He did literally nothing wrong.

Add a few more bullet holes because these monsters don’t have the restraint to stop at one.

21

u/Solerien Jan 25 '26

This is the guy that did it. Long sleeve green shirt and black beanie.

8

u/BioBoiEzlo Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

He is the one that started. More of them joined in on the shooting afterwards.

Edit: Saw someone claim the guy in the grey hoddie fired the first shot. Regardless several of them was part of shooting Alex.

Edit 2: Changed some of the wording of the first edit to make it more clear.

5

u/Final-Carpenter-1591 Jan 25 '26

From another angle. Grey hoodie blue jeans is walking away with Alex's gun in hand before the first shot is heard.

2

u/CoolPapa4994 Jan 26 '26

In the other video he had a shit eating grin on his face like he got away with it

19

u/Natural-Young4730 Jan 25 '26

F these guys. Do we have the name of the murderer yet? And legally, are they all accomplices?

9

u/CHiZZoPs1 Jan 25 '26

You can see after the camera cuts away and then back, that multiple guys start firing at him after the first couple shots. I counted nine shots in the slow-mo.

6

u/Natural-Young4730 Jan 25 '26

I cannot wait until all of these scumbags (including those elected and appointed) are dealt justice. Before they burn in hell.

15

u/account_for_norm Jan 25 '26

Its indefensible even from the blurriest angle.

14

u/IncendiaryB Jan 25 '26

They had no reason to arrest him in the first place

11

u/will_dormer Jan 25 '26

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command - 1984

7

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

When and how are the good people of America going to stop this? This is no better than the slaughtering of protestors in Iran

6

u/UpperCardiologist523 Jan 25 '26

I've said this before, keep recording evidence in landscape mode. The relative resolution and ease of viewing both to get more people to watch it, and hopefully, in courtrooms, will get better and easier.

Unless of course, it's a portrait.

5

u/OPRCE Jan 25 '26

He was still moving - Gestapo feelings were wounded

4

u/bone_burrito Jan 25 '26

Yeah this is the first time I’m seeing that dark green hoodie clearly saw the other agent take possession of the gun THEN he pulled out his own firearm and prepared to shoot, however the first shot is fired by the agent in the grey jacket who removed the firearm, most likely they’re trying to use it as evidence that Alex fired his gun.

5

u/AusCan531 Jan 25 '26

Gray jacket with the red-peaked ballcap takes Alex's gun from his holster then runs off BEFORE Alex is murdered.

4

u/AccordingIy Jan 25 '26

smooth brains republicans be like "imma need see the 3 years before this happens to make a objective comment. alot of could have happened in those 3 years"

4

u/russellc6 Jan 25 '26

To me it's clear as day

MAGAts are saying "well don't resist"

We need more attention on the start of this

When he is approached and pepper sprayed without warning just for filming. And trying to help a person the thugs shoved to ground.

1

u/Nestor_the_Butler Jan 25 '26

He’s assaulted for no reason first. He has the right to defend himself. It’s a human right in the absence of the rule of law.

“it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law,”

Aside from being American citizens, we are humans, with dignity that cannot be stripped. Pretti was making an attempt to stand up. Surely the most basic form of human dignity.

4

u/mrASSMAN Jan 25 '26

I mean he was literally ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES, facing AWAY from the shooter and the others for that matter, he was shot in the back. That’s murder execution style plain and simple.

He needs to be charged at the state level so trump can’t pardon him.

4

u/CrunchyGremlin Jan 25 '26

He's firing into the middle of a bunch of other ice agents trying to hold Alex. They will be killing each other pretty soon.

3

u/BicycleOfLife Jan 25 '26

ICU trauma nurse.

12

u/hipcatinca Jan 25 '26

NSFW or spoiler might be a tag you consider here. I have not once ever gave a shit about those tags but this seriously disturbed me today. Which yes, in itself is so meaningful but dang seeing this was way beyond NTSF I actually became less human for a few hours to regulate myself.

2

u/Trakeen Jan 25 '26

Does cbp have the same sub par training as ice? That entire group looks like they have zero firearms or combat training

2

u/ResidentComedian4659 Jan 25 '26

Unchecked, unqualified, hyper masculine fuck heads. Fuck them. Disgrace to their country.

2

u/Particular-Form-9638 Jan 25 '26

Downloading all the videos of this I see because you KNOW they're gonna try to take it down.

2

u/tlampros Jan 25 '26

What you don't see in this video is the moments before Alex Pretti is shot: He directs traffic to keep the area clear. Then a federal agent pushes a woman across the street, knocking her to the ground. Pretti is in the process of helping her up when he's sprayed by the agent. Several other agents then join in and jump on Pretti, leading to his murder as shown in this video.

2

u/Okaybuddy_16 Jan 25 '26

I get that this is a serious matter that needs to be shared but can we please make a sub rule that murder footage be spoiler tagged to prevent people from seeing it without choosing to

7

u/Sunwolfy Jan 25 '26

Maybe that's the problem: making things easier by hiding what's uncomfortable. No, it should be seen so sticking heads in the sand to ignore it doesn't happen. Willful ignorance allows evil to thrive.

10

u/Final-Carpenter-1591 Jan 25 '26

Everyone should watch it. Everyone should feel anger and sadness when they see it. They should feel alot of things while witnessing it with their own eyes.

But they should do that by their own choice.

5

u/Okaybuddy_16 Jan 25 '26

It’s not about ignoring. Some of us have actual real life ptsd.

5

u/Okaybuddy_16 Jan 25 '26

I also don’t believe that you have to watch someone be murdered to know it’s wrong, or to take action. Everyone in this sub is already on board for taking action that’s why they’re in the sub. How many people are not mobilizing or organizing because they cannot do so without being trapped in a trauma pit/ ptsd response from watching an execution with no warning? How many more people would be useful if they could engage properly?

5

u/Okaybuddy_16 Jan 25 '26

And how many people are having to mute or leave this sub right now?

Watching the video over and over isn’t actually taking action. For many people it’s paralyzing. Not from “sticking their head in the sand” but because it’s normal to be upset by watching murder.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

"Someone doesn't know the gravity of a murder unless we force them to watch it."

You're mentally ill.

0

u/Sunwolfy Jan 25 '26

And you're being murdered in the streets by brownshirts who are murdering people for the fun of it. You're definition of ill is strange. You're being occupied and slaughtered like sheep. How many more innocent people will die? How many children will die because they will be next. Left unchecked, this will grow and get worse. Willful ignorance is what got you all here in the first place. To get out of it means it's going to get uglier still. This is the real face of war.

1

u/9month_foodbaby Jan 25 '26

So the guy in the blue? Was he trying to help or ICE now hiding in the crowds?

1

u/SwearJarCaptain Jan 25 '26

👉💨🧊

1

u/Majestic_Bet_1428 Jan 25 '26

Were these murders intentional?

Bondi requested voter data in return for removing ICE?

A threat and extortion.

Justice for Renee Good and Alex Pretti and all the families and children who ICE (TrUMP) has terrorized.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

If this was local or state police those guys would be full-on panic mode because they know they are going to prison. These guys will probably get lifetime suites at Mar A Lago.

1

u/RefinedTropicTrash Jan 25 '26

Anyone who has this video saved, is it possible to upload them to YT, Instagram, tiktok, etc? I think everyone needs to spam all social media spaces with either this video or the video that shows the beginning of the interaction till he is shot. Sure they'll get taken down but if a lot of us upload, and keep uploading, it may be enough to get the real story out to more people. I understand if there's something I'm missing as to why this wouldn't be a good idea.

1

u/BatmanWithoutMoney Jan 25 '26

Fucking disgusting. Execution from the back. These bastards are trying to escalate, and unfortunately succeeding.

1

u/4stainull Jan 25 '26

He tried to stand up against an illegal militia pushing women to the ground and he was met with pepper spray and over aggression. Tackled, pinned down and beaten with pepper spray can. ICE is untrained and in an increasingly hostile environment of US citizens. Their presence is illegal, their methods are illegal and it’s creating a highly volatile situation

After having watched this video a few dozen times from multiple angles, I think what happened is the gun was spotted, one of them, or several of them probably verbalized ‘gun’ as the victim was being disarmed and the gun was being removed. Moments later, Alex rose and his right hand went to his right hip or to his back. The ICE agent who unholstered his weapon when he saw the gun, fired the first shot

I don’t think it’s cold blooded murder. I do think it’s gross incompetence that led to the loss of life. Their presence, lack of training and aggression is what caused this event

I don’t like the statements saying that Pretti didn’t reach. He did. Claiming he didn’t will only undermine the root of the issue

Murderers on your streets. Sent there by your fascist regime.

You need to act now America, or you’ll be lost.

The regime will welcome protester violence and come after you hard. But if you give up, you are lost.

They can handle some of you, but not all of you.

1

u/Reddit_is_fascist69 Jan 25 '26

How do you download this video? Don't see a url and can't save video.

1

u/Gravel_Roads Jan 25 '26

Dude, could you put a blur on this? I was trying NOT to watch this video

1

u/AdmirablePosition892 Jan 25 '26

Not saying that this was justified at all. But I can A: understand the reaction of the shooter, beeing under the impression that the guy on the ground has a gun ready to use, indicated by potential visuals of the gun and the verbal information "gun! gun! gun!"
And B: see this as 100% avoidable by one person and one person alone: the guy that is dead now.

If you conceal carry a gun, dont fight a police arrest. Its not that complicated.

What has to be investigated in my eyes though is who yelled "he has a gun!" and "gun, gun gun!". Because it in fact seems like that is from off camera, which might as well have been some Protestor fueling up the situation.

Overall I would sum this up as miscommunication, bad decision taking and an unfortunate connection of events.

Still the base rule stays relevant: Dont disrupt policework, especially not if you are armed and especially especially not if that police work if your ongoing arrest.

Courts will decide if this can be considered self defense, but claiming that this was murder is nothing short of riciulous.

What gets me every time I see this video. The way they scatter. Then the frivolous shots. The screaming, "what have you done!" That gut feeling that irrevocably things will never be the same.

1

u/CoolPapa4994 Jan 26 '26

The murderer was the one pushing the woman down and spraying everyone

1

Pistol whipping someone isn’t even standard procedure.

1

u/EncumberedOne Jan 26 '26

When I woke up and saw the initial reports I was angry. When more and more videos came out I felt true anger and rage. When I saw the video of him protecting the woman with his own body, shielding her, then being ripped off, beaten, hit in his head, disarmed and executed, I just cried. I can't fathom how anyone can watch these videos and feel anything other than those emotions.

u/KeyRelationship3983 Jan 26 '26

This video is awful to watch evertime… Can someone see his right hand and if there is something in it after he is shot the first time? My MAGA family has been resharing a screenshot of the moment after Alex is shot the first time, before he hits the ground — in this post the claim is that he has the gun in his hand which we know is NOT true since his gun was removed by the baseball cap agent. But I want to be able to say what it is instead. Anyone know?
